Epoxy Floor Coatings
Epoxy is a two component product consisting of one part epoxy resin and one part hardener, which has to be mixed together prior to application. After mixing, there is a limited time as to how long you have to apply it before it cured. Once cured, it provides a very hard and durable surface that is resistant to staining, abrasion, and chemicals. Most epoxies when installed, will be a clear coating, but the resin can be tinted to give the epoxy colour. Epoxies can be broken down into two different group:
Commercial Epoxy Coatings
Commercial Epoxy Coatings are decorative options to their Industrial counterparts. They are achieved by carious things mixed into the epoxy during the installation process. These can include colour pigments, metallic pigments, decorative quartz, paint chips, decorative aggregates, etc.
Industrial Epoxy Coatings
Industrial Epoxy Coatings, unlike Decorative Epoxy Coatings, are not designed to look good, but to perform under hardest of conditions. All epoxies are hard, durable and resistant coating, but Industrial Epoxy Coatings take it even further.
